About Us
Ukraine Justice Watch is a digital advocacy campaign that is dedicated to raising awareness about human rights violations that are happening from Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Founded as part of an human rights project, our goal is to inform and engage others through sharing visually compelling content grounded in international law.
Clarity and creativity are powerful tools that could be used to seek justice. Our campaign focuses on using social media strategy, digital design, and educational storytelling in order to spot and identify war crimes, human rights abuses, and the legal mechanisms that can hold perpetrators accountable. We mainly focus on violations such as the targeting of civilian infrastructure, the use of torture, and the forced deportation of Ukranian. These acts constitute a breach of the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Another focus of Ukraine Justice Watch is to highlight the work of humanitarian and legal organizations that are actively responding to the Crisis. Groups like HIAS and UNHCR are currently providing displaced Ukrainians with legal support, housing, and critical aid, while the International Criminal Court (ICC) is collecting evidence and pursuing investigations into war crimes and crimes against humanity. By giving these institutions the spotlight, we aim to show that justice is not only possible, but it requires sustained global support.
In addition to educating the public on these human rights violations, our campaign helps provide clear, actionable steps that individuals can take. These include donations to trusted humanitarian organizations, sharing fact-checked information, and signing petitions in support of international enforcement of human rights violations. We believe that online platforms are powerful spaces that can create collective action and solidarity, especially when advocacy is clear, creative, and is grounded in law.
